Background Checks and Volunteer Registration: 

Managers, please make sure that every person "helping out" on your team is registered as a volunteer in your division. After volunteers have registered an Administration Volunteer will add them to your roster where they will be listed as Team Personnel on your Team Page.

Who Needs to Register as a Volunteer?

• Team Manager (Head Coach): Limit one Manager per team. 
  
  
• Assistant Coaches (Team Coach): No roster limit. Reference our Local Rules for the in-game Coach limit.
  
  
• Team Parents: Any Parent or Gaurdian of a player on your team that will interact directly with players during practices or games needs to register. This includes any Parent or Gaurdian responsible for managing players in the dugout during practices and games. 
  
  
• Other: Any person (not a Parent or Gaurdian) that will interact directly with players during practices or games needs to register. This includes adult siblings, extended family, or any other adult volunteer on your team. 
  

What About Concessions or Scoreboard Volunteers?

• Registration is not required. These volunteers will not have repetitive access to children because the roles are needed only during games and can be filled by any adult in attendance. 

Little League® regulations require any volunteer with repetitive access to children to consent to a national criminal background check, which includes a check of the National Sex Offender Registry database. Volunteers must register so that we may complete the required background checks.
